Chateau du Cedre Heritage Malbec 2016 from Cahors
Benchmark Cahors: very very dark blackberry fruit and a palate that is as concentrated as it’s possible to be and still remain firmly medium-bodied. Notes of black tea, herbs and spice, damsons, and liquorice very slowly emerge from this wine’s dark heart. The tannin here is everything that Cahors is famous for, stitched together within a tight matrix of acidity. Serious and savoury. 13.5%. Screw cap.
