Chateau Queyron Pindefleurs 6-pack

To order this mixed 6-pack please put "6" in the quantity ordered box because 6 x $65.28 = $391.68, which is the correct price.

It consists of 2 bottles of #1 and #3, and then one bottle each of wines #2 and #6. Please note that as of Friday morning 27 March the Queyron-Pindefleurs 2015 was sold out and so this mixed 6-pack has been adjusted to include an extra bottle of the 2010 vintage. This has resulted in a $10 reduction in the overall price of the dozen.

1. Le Jardin de Queyron-Pindefleurs 2015, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
This is the sensational entry level wine of Château Queyron-Pindefleurs and is just smoother and earlier-drinking than their other wines though it is still classified as Saint-Émilion Grand Cru. Soaring aromas of blackcurrant, damsons, and mulberry, and a palate that is full and velvety with length and breadth. Drink now to 2025.

2. Château Queyron-Pindefleurs 2009, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru. Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
This is the gentle giant vintage of Queyron-Pindefleurs from the last decade and it sings with a warm heart. The aromatics are mellow and autumnal in feel, with leather, fig, and earthy forest floor notes, while the palate is less tannic than other vintages. Perhaps it's just the effect of time but this is a vintage of Château Queyron-Pindefleurs that is closest to its peak and ready to go.

3. Château Queyron-Pindefleurs 2010, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru. Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
Here is a wine that seamlessly combines the raw power of Saint-Émilion at full throttle but with a balance and drinkability that screams for 10 years in the cellar. So you can drink it now and indulge in its youthful expression or stow it away for the long haul. It's a winner either way. This is a rich and deep style of Saint-Émilion Grand Cru with masses of depth and barrel-aged complexity. As big and meaty as it comes. Old school style. Delicious.

4. Château Queyron-Pindefleurs 2015, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru. Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
For my money this is every bit as good as the 2016 which won the major gong at the Decanter World Wine Awards. It is textbook Saint-Émilion perfection: concentrated complexity on the nose with aromatic complexity (cassis, smoky oak, cigar box and cedar) while the palate is majestic in its forthright equilibrium, tannin grip, length, and ultimate longevity in the cellar.
Drink 2020 to 2035.
Price: $79.95.

5. Château Queyron-Pindefleurs 2016, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru.

This statuesque St Emilion is dark black-red in colour; aromatically, its glowing ripe black fruits both seem to be sweetened yet freshened by classy oak. The palate is expansive, amply ripe, rich and gratifying, lent complexity by flavours of smoke and earth but by firm supporting tannins, too, as well as by sweet-toned acidity. All the lineaments are there for a hugely enjoyable wine; just add time. Drink 2020-2030'
