1. The rosé de Lariveau 2018.
Nicolas takes rosé very seriously and combines his Burgundian roots with many years spent working in Provence (before he arrived in Bordeaux) to make incredible rosé of lacy aromatic precision coupled to racy structure and crisp mountain-stream minerality.
Today's special pre-departure price is $24 per bottle in any dozen($26 if less than a dozen ordered). Post-arrival price will rise 20% to $28.8.

The reds.
2. Le Petit Canon de Lariveau 2017. Due to a small crop in 2017, Nicholas put all his red grapes (including the crop from his best vineyards) into this one wine, which, as a result, is a complete over-performer. It's so tight and concentrated-without-being-rich that it nails the comparison to Burgundy, perhaps similar to a Beaune Premier Cru of stolid tannin structure. The palate sits perfectly at the full end of medium-bodied. Drink now to 2025. Today's special pre-departure price is $25 in any dozen (or $27 if less than 12 bottles are ordered). Post-arrival price will rise 20% to $30 per bottle.

3. Château Lariveau 2015. A classic vintage of vibrant ruby fruit, pure and soaring aromas but also with some very deep and earthy/forest floor (AKA "sous-bois") notes. This is a radically  ethereal wine partly because it was aged for 3 years in Burgundian oak barrels. Comparable to a high octane Chambolle-Musigny of weightless power. Drink now to 2030+. Today's special pre-departure price is $35 in any dozen (or $38 if less than 12 bottles ordered). Post-arrival price will rise 20% to $42 per bottle.

4. Le Coeur de Lariveau 2014. This is Château Lariveau's icon cuvée and I tasted both the 2014 and 2015 versions of it. I should point out that I am somewhat biased against2014s in general because so many I have tasted from other parts of Bordeaux have been lean and unattractive so I was psychologically ready to prefer the 2015....but this 2014 floored me! I tasted the 2015 and 2014 Coeur de Lariveau next to one another, over and again, and I just couldn't avoid the conclusion that, while the 2015 was rich, the 2014 soared with Vosne-Romanée lift above a tight and compelling palate. This is an amazing wine that pulled off the impossible in a very challenging vintage. Drink now to 2035+. Today's special pre-departure price is $49 in any dozen (or $54 if less than a dozen is ordered). Post-arrival price will rise 20% to $58.8 per bottle.
