Michel Chapoutier la Ciboise 2017 Grenache and Shiraz from the Costieres de Nimes
Generous red with complex aromatics and a seriously structured full-bodied palate. I really think you can tell the quality of a wine when they are open for a day or two and gather in strength and depth and that's exactly what I see with this wine. When you first open it, it has great bang for buck in a youthful/ebullient way, but after a day or two it looks like a serious effort from the Southern Rhône with full throttle aromatics and a solid palate of tannin heft. A knock-out little wine in my books.
