ONE BOTTLE LEFT. PLEASE ORDER NO MORE THAN ONE BOTTLE OF THIS WINE.
Château de Béchaud, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru 2016. 65% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon.
The fruit here hits a very dark and deep bass note, some really earthy fruit, heavy and dense, animal, complex, some intense antique wood characters, tar and roses. The palate is smooth and round, boldly full bodied, but the tannins are there, although light and fine at first they build brilliantly as you glide through a glass or two. Still very young and will benefit from a couple of years in the cellar to settle down although highly enjoyable to drink now too.
Drink now to 2030.
